Q-Is it safe to purchase tickets on your website?  

A- Yes We have an SSL Certificate and our website is completely secure for all of your purchases

Q- How many people can fly in your helicopters? 

A- Our helicopters seat up to 5 and 6 passengers plus one pilot.

Q- What are your hours of operation?

A- Our Downtown Manhattan Heliport at Pier 6 and The East River is open 365 days a year Mon-Sat from 9:00am - 7:00pm and Sunday 9:00am - 5:00pm including holidays. For more Information please call 1-800-542-9933.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

The VIP heliport located at 12th Ave & W 30th St. is no longer conducting sightseeing tours.   All sightseeing tours will be conducted from the Downtown Manhattan heliport.

Q- Do I need a reservation?

A- Yes reservations are mandatory for all heliports. Please call 1800-542-9933 or 212-967-6464. Our live reservation lines are open from 8:00am to 6:00pm 7 days a week.

Q- Do you ever have delays or interruptions to your scheduled flights?

A- Delays may occur more often then not during: 1) Our busy season from October thru December. 2) Government air restrictions and high profile government visits to NYC. 3) Inclement weather and the next flyable weather day. 4) Extreme heat, cold or windy days.

Q- Is there public transportation to Liberty Helicopters?

A- Yes. Please see our Maps page for more details.

Q- Are private tours available?

A- Yes, private tours are available. Please contact our Charter Department at 908-474-9700 or 1-888-692-4354 and you will be able to design any route you wish.

Q- How long are your tours?

A- Our Big Apple tour is approximately 15 minutes in length our New York New York tour is approximately 20 minutes in length and our Romance over Manhattan tour (Private Helicopter) is approximately 20 minutes in length.

Q- Is parking available at the heliports?

A- The closest parking area to our Downtown Heliport is at South Street Seaport. We are a 5-8 minute walk from there.  The South Williams St ICON parking lot is offering Liberty patrons $13.00 off parking.  See specials page for details.

Q- Do you have gift certificates available for purchase?

A- Yes we do. Gift certificates can be purchased on our website. Any tour that is purchased as a gift certificate is valid 7 days a week and for one year from date of purchase. If you would like a hard copy certificate mailed to your recipient a $18.30 Express fee as well as $5.00 certificate fee for domestic addresses will be added on to the total cost. A $28.95 express fee plus a $5.00 certificate fee will be charged for international addresses.  Gift certificates are non refundable.  All gift certificates are subject to a $30.00 per person heliport facility/security fee

Q- Do you provide photos for download that we can use for promotions?

A- Yes. You can download a photo from our photo gallery.

Q- What happens if I buy a tour and my flight is cancelled due to weather?

A- Liberty Helicopters will do our best to reschedule your tour for another date and time. If we cannot find an agreed upon date and time for your tour and you purchased your tour through this website or by calling us by phone, we will refund you in full. If you purchased our tour through a 3rd party or affiliate you will need to contact them directly to discuss refund options. Gift Certificates are non refundable and non transferable.

Q- What is your cancellation and or refund policy?

A- Liberty Helicopters will not charge you for any date or time changes to an existing prepaid helicopter tour. Any cancellation of tour outside of 24 hours of your tour departure date is subject to a $25.00 per person cancellation fee, any cancellation within 24 hours of scheduled date will result in full payment taken from your credit card. If passengers do not show up for their tour then the money paid in full is non refundable. Liberty Helicopters, Inc reserves the right to upgrade, alter or terminate any or all of our sightseeing tours due to security, weather or acts of God. If this happens and a new reservation date cannot be made then you will be refunded for full cost of your tour. Gift certificates are non refundable and non transferable and are valid for one year from date of purchase.

Q.  Are there any additional fees?

A.  Yes there is a mandatory heliport facility/security fee at all heliports of $30.00 per person which is payable at time of tour purchase.

Q.  Should I call to check my reservation status on the day of my flight if the weather looks bad?

A.  Yes it is always a good idea to check with us prior to your flight if the weather looks bad.

Q.  Must I bring my photo identification with me?

A.  Yes all guests are required to bring a valid photo id.

Liberty Helicopters reserves the right to upgrade, alter or terminate any or all of our tours due to security, weather, acts of God, or for any other reason we deem necessary.  Please be advised that unforseen circumstances may interfere with on time departures.  All fees and tour prices are subject to change.  All heliport and business hours are subject to change.  Etickets are valid for 1 year from date of purchase.
