![]()

Liberty Helicopters is the largest and most experienced helicopter sightseeing and charter business in the Northeast, with a fleet of 10 state of the art American Eurocopter helicopters. We have been in business and flying safely for over 25 years. We first began in the charter business in April of 1986, transporting business men and women to and from NYC and other locations in the tri state area. In 1990 we added our sightseeing division, recognizing and answering to the surge of tourism to NYC and the need for a new and exciting attraction. Since then, Liberty regularly receives the Annual Safety Award from the Helicopter Association International along with being a multiple recipient of the 5 Star Diamond Award and the ERHC Fly Neighborly Award. Through the years our staff have also been recognized and awarded for their excellence in service and performance by various aviation and travel and tourism organizations. Liberty is also a founding member of T.O.P.S. as well as members of ERHC and HAI. This impressive record is due to the high caliber of our staff and the reliability of our equipment. All of our highly trained pilots and aviation maintenance technicians receive regular recurrent Euro copter factory training, specifically the requirement of FAR part 135 air carrier standards and our fleet is serviced on a daily basis in our own 24 hour 7 days a week maintenance facility. This coupled with our unsurpassed safety and security measures assures our passengers the safest and most pleasurable experience possible.
ABOUT FAR PART 135: The FAR's are rules prescribed by the FAA governing all aviation activities in the USA. The FARS are part of Title 14 of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR). FAR Part 135 is part of the Federal Aviation Administrations operating requirements specifically intended for commuter and on demand operations and the rules governing persons on board such aircraft. Regulations for commuter and commercial aviation are far more stringent than those for general aviation therefore specific training and standards are required.
ABOUT OUR HELICOPTERS - American Eurocopter The Industry Leader

American Eurocopter manufactures, markets, sells, assembles, supports and provides training solutions for Eurocopter rotary-wing aircraft in the United States. Since beginning operations in 1969, it has become a leading provider of helicopters for U.S. civilian, parapublic and military markets, with users selecting American Eurocopter helicopters due to their large cabins, speed and excellence in reliability.

The AS350 AStar is a single-engine workhorse with the best performance in its category. Built and certified in the United States, this cost-effective helicopter accommodates five to six passengers in all forward-facing seats. AS355 NP:

The AS355 NP is the twin-engine version of American Eurocopter’s popular AS350 family.
